Archery Biathlon

In a unique blend of unrelated sports, Archery Biathlon brings cross-country skiing and target archery together into a single exciting and unusual event that tests both physical endurance and marksmanship. Athletes carry bows and arrows in specially designed backpacks as they race through a 6- to 12-kilometer ski course, stopping occasionally to shoot arrows at targets 18 meters away. Scoring for the event is based on ski time and shooting points earned.
